CWP is fine tuning plans for managing the San Juan management area Big Horn Sheep herd and wants your input.  Colorado Parks and Wildlife spokesperson Joe Lewandowski says the online survey is just one of the tools used by the CWP Commission to gather input from citizens on managing the iconic animal that is also the state mammal and on CWP’s logo.

There are approximately 250 Big Horn sheep in the San Juan herd.  Lewandowski says plan options call for either increasing the herd, maintaining it at current levels, and/or tweaking options for reducing the risk of conflicts with domestic sheep ranchers.
