Baker says the preliminary investigation indicates that a 1997 Ford Mustang being driven by a 23-year old Montrose man overturned several times when the driver lost control headed westbound at a high rate of speed.  The car came to a crumpled stop in an embankment.  The driver and two passengers were all ejected.  The identity of the driver has not yet been released.  He was transported to a Denver Area hospital with life threatening injuries.  22-year old Montrose resident Tabitha Horlacher was also seriously injured in the wreck and is being treated at Montrose Memorial Hospital.  The exact cause of the wreck remains under investigation.
