Water is currently flowing through Black Canyon of the Gunnison at a respectable 609 Cubic Feet per Second.  All roads in the park are open and campfires are only being allowed in n prefabricated concrete or metal fire grates in established campgrounds and picnic areas.

All major campgrounds and the East Portal Road remain open in Curecanti National Recreation Area.  Fire restrictions have been lifted at Curecanti as well.

National Park Service officials remind boaters travelling to the sprawling recreation area that motorized watercraft launching in Blue Mesa Reservoir are required to be inspected for aquatic invasive species and if necessary, decontaminated in accordance with procedures set by the Colorado Division of Wildlife. In addition to the mandatory inspection prior to launch, motorized watercraft leaving Blue Mesa Reservoir will undergo an exit inspection as well to verify the vessel has been cleaned, drained and dried.
