Delta County Fair a Wild Romp in Hotchkiss

The Delta County Fair in Hotchkiss is in full swing now through Sunday morning.  Tonight’s Fair features the Team Roping-Saddle Shootout event at 7 p.m.  Tuesday night all Junior Livestock will be entered and stalled in the barn.  Wednesday morning will feature the sheep, goats, swine and beef weigh-in.  Thursday night it’s the annual Demolition Derby at 7 p.m., on Friday there will be Team Roping, Muttin Bustin’, Calf Ridin’ and more at the Ranch Rodeo.  On Saturday the Fair Parade happens at noon downtown, entertainment in the park at noon, and the Livestock sale will be held at the Events Center starting at 2 p.m.

Delta County Fair Chairperson Eddie Clement says the Fair wraps up Sunday morning with a Future Farmers of America Pancake Breakfast at 7 o’clock, and all exhibits and premium money must be retrieved by 1 p.m.
