There are 4 Director School District Board seats that will be up for grabs in the November School Board election in the Montrose-Olathe School District. School District election officials Laurie Laird says would-be candidates can pick up petitions at the School District Office and begin their quest to collect at least 50-signatures starting today in order for their name to appear on the November ballot.
Laird adds that there is the potential for a majority turnover in seats on the 7-member Board this election because one of the current members will be completing 8-years of service and is term limited out.
There are 7-Board Districts within the sprawling Montrose-Olathe School District. Board members serve 4-year terms, limited to two terms in total. Candidates must be eligible to vote and have resided in the District they wish to represent for at least 12 consecutive months prior to announcing their candidacy.
