Montrose is comprised of a lot of caring people and nowhere is that more exemplified than in the upcoming Montrose Lions Club Bike for Eyesight event on Saturday, September 7th. Lions Club member and past President Don Bonser says the goal of the ride is to raise much needed funding so the Lions Club can continue its mission of providing free vision checks for preschoolers and eye exams and glasses for those who can’t afford them.
Bosner adds that the ride will feature different options for different cyclists, ranging from the 10-mile Family Ride on Montrose bike paths, all the way to the 100-mile ride for the hearty cycling enthusiast.
There will be a post-ride celebration complete with food, drinks, and other treats. The $35 registration fee includes a T-shirt for participants. Registration forms are available at Cascade bikes or online at www.bikeforeyesight.com. More information can be obtained by calling (970) 249-3415.
