Snowy road conditions is the high country caused problems for several commuters last week. Four people were taken to Montrose Hospital following a two vehicle accident Oct. 10th near Placerville on Hwy 62 at mm 11. State patrol and San Miguel Deputies rescued a pick-up reportedly teetering at the edge of a cliff at MM 66 on HWY 145 during a heavy snowfall. Again on Oct. 10th San Miguel Deputies assisted the Colorado State Patrol and the CDOT with several vehicles that were not able to navigate Lizard Head Pass due to slushy, slick roads. Police are exhorting travelers to slow down during adverse conditions.
