The town of Telluride is having trouble herding drunks. Police say the problem in Telluride is that there is no place to put rowdy partiers. The Post reports San Miguel County Sheriff Bill Masters has asked county commissioners and local medical professionals to help come up with a solution in a resort with no detox center. Police say the jail is not a good place for the rummies because they usually aren’t under arrest, and that creates a liability issue. San Miguel County Commissioner Joan May said the county will study how other rural communities deal with the issue.
