Garfield County Protects Roads

Garfield County commissioners are following the lead of Mesa County in passing a resolution to remind the feds that the county controls county roads that pass through government land. About 60% of the land in Garfield County is government owned. The Glenwood Springs Post Independent reports commissioners want to protect emergency access to remote areas, as well as public access for recreation and commercial purposes.
