Sharing Ministries Food Bank has been without any produce or meat to distribute in the past three weeks according to director Oneda Doyle. Beginning this Saturday at the Montrose Farmers Market there will be a collection booth for the Non Profit. Valley Food Partnership and LiveWell Montrose-Olathe will coordinate the collection. They’ll accept donations of all sizes and take them directly to the food bank. Organizers say the Colorado Charitable Crop Donation Act, will allow farmers to claim a 25% tax credit for the wholesale value of all fruits, vegetables, dairy and meat products donated.
