Rio Blanco Sheriff Assaulted

The Rio Blanco County Sheriff was injured after he was assaulted in a hospital parking lot in Meeker. The Sheriff's Office tells KMGH-TV Sheriff Si Woodruff was in the hospital parking lot while a man was being taken into custody when the suspect allegedly assaulted Woodruff.

Delta Police Reminding Drivers

Delta Police Department are asking drivers to share the road and be aware of School Buses, Pedestrians and Bicyclists. The red flashing lights and an extended stop sign arm indicate the bus is stopped and children are getting on or off the bus.

The retirements of the Judge Greenacre and Judge Schum this January opens two slots for the Seventh Judicial District. The Nominating Commission has nominated five candidates, Seth David Ryan of Montrose, Steven L. Schultz of Crawford, Carol A. Viner of Grand Junction, David S. Westfall of Ouray, and Keri Ann Yoder of Telluride.

Olathe authorities are searching for a woman who allegedly stole nearly $800 from the Bank of Colorado yesterday afternoon. According to Olathe Police, a Hispanic woman entered the bank and the teller a note demanding cash.
