Drug Indictments Announced

Eight people are facing charges in an alleged drug trafficking ring. State Attorney General Cynthia Coffman announced the indictments yesterday. They include members of the Bandidos Motorcycle Club.

Fish Salvage in Hinsdale County

Colorado Parks and Wildlife announced an emergency fish salvage at Continental Reservoir in Hinsdale County due to repair work planned for the dam. Anglers can now harvest all the fish they catch and all bag and possession limits are suspended until further notice.

A Montrose man is in jail after being charged with assault, obstructing an officer, resisting arrest and two other charges on the 300 block of east Main early Tuesday.

Bull Mountain Public Comment Extended

You have until April 16 to give your opinion on a proposed master development plan for development of natural gas near Paonia. The Bureau of Land Management extended the comment period on the environmental impact statement for the development in the Bull Mountain Unit.

The Ouray Ranger District of the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests plans to burn approximately 20 piles in the Amphitheater Campground near Ouray this Friday. The piles consist of slash from beetle-killed fir trees.

FBI Bust at Stock Show

Six children are safe after a local and federal law enforcement sting at the National Western Stock Show in Denver. The FBI says the children ranged from 14 to 17 in age, and two alleged traffickers were arrested.
