Tonight is the first 2010 BCAS meeting. The meeting commences at 7:00 tonight at the Dalby-Wendland offices at 501 East Main in Montrose. Discussion will center around the rocks and trees of Mars. Also discussed will be plans for the year’s star parties.

Last night, the Town Clerk of Olathe was sworn in during the regular session of the board of trustees meeting. Terri Foechterle was the Deputy Town Clerk for the past few years. She has been in the Olathe area since 1982.

Farmers are headed to Greeley for some advice on new ways to earn money off the land. According to the Greeley Tribune the annual Colorado Farm Show opened today in Greeley. Some 30,000 people were expected to check out new farm equipment for sale, plus hear from agriculture officials on the state of industry. One of today’s topics was a talk about putting solar and wind facilities on rural properties. Farmers scheduled another session to talk about the credit market and the future of agricultural lending. Colorado’s state veterinarian was also scheduled to talk to farmers for an update on health risks to Colorado livestock.
