The unemployment rate in Colorado is now the lowest in the country. The Colorado Department of Labor and Employment Friday said that the rate dropped to two-point-six-percent in March, down from two-point-nine-percent in February. The number of people looking for jobs increased by more than ten-thousand to around two-point-nine-million, however the unemployment rate still dropped as more individuals became employed. The state's unemployment rate of two-point-six-percent is the state's lowest level since the numbers began being tracked in 1976.
The national unemployment rate decreased zero-point-two-percent to four-point-five-percent in March.
