US 550 at Red Mt. Pass will be closed tomorrow (Thursday) Morning. The full road closure will be from 7:30 until noon, from mile point (MP) 92, two miles south of Ouray, to MP 87.

A Trump Tax March is Set for April 15th in Gunnison. The one-mile event marches through downtown Gunnison beginning and ending at W. Virginia Ave. and N. Wisconsin St. Bryan Harvey of Montrose believes this is an important issue.

Missing Person Recovered in Paradox

Montrose County, COLO.-- On April 6, 2017 at about 2:00pm Montrose County Sheriff’s Office Deputies received a request to check on the welfare of Rose E. Zaldivar, DOB 07-06-66. The reporting party, Tracy Sutherlin, said that Ms. Zaldivar was at a residence located at 4210 Highway 90 in Paradox, Colorado. Deputies responded to the residence and located a vehicle registered to Ms. Zaldivar. Deputies attempted to make contact but no one answered the door. Deputies then checked the inside of the residence for any sign of Ms. Zaldivar and found the residence empty. Deputies also checked the surrounding roads and area in an attempt to locate Ms. Zaldivar.

Holzer To Be Prosecuted As Adult

A teen accused of shooting and killing a Mesa County sheriff's deputy will be prosecuted as an adult. The judge in the case against Austin Holzer made the key ruling yesterday. If convicted, he could face 40 years to life in prison for the shooting death of deputy Derek Geer in February of 2016.

Bennet Rejects Gorsuch

Colorado Senator Michael Bennet says he will vote against confirming Neil Gorsuch to the U.S. Supreme Court. In a written statement, Bennet says Gorsuch's nomination must be looked at in a new context now that Senate Republicans have changed senate rules to enable the judge to pass through the Senate with a simple majority vote instead of a 60-vote threshold. Bennet also stated that he has concerns about Judge Gorsuch's approach to the law, and also says his concerns are even greater now that Republicans have used the so-called "nuclear option.
