Montrose Police say the Montrose UPS store on south 3rd was burglarized during the morning hours of March 19th and 20th, Several expensive items were damaged and stolen. Car Theft With Child Inside

Social Media reports say a man stole a car with a child strapped inside on Tuesday in Montrose. The incident occurred on the 1400 Block of Haystack Road.

It's a campaign to see which Mayor can best inspire their residents to make internet pledges to reduce water and energy usage. Mayor Rex Swanson is exhorting you to pledge at MyWaterPledge.com. Montrose Man Charged with Assault and Menacing

A Montrose man is facing charges after reportedly choking a woman on Monday. The Montrose Daily Press is reporting 30 year old Marcelino Martinez forced his way into a home on south 2nd street and when a relative attempted to leave the home, Martinez held her at knife-point and attempted to choke the woman.

Road & Bridge Structure to be Scrapped

Montrose County Commissioners voted to scrap the metal building at their road and bridge property on LaSalle near  north Townsend avenue. Officials say the building isn't suitable for a road and bridge department. The property previously belonged to United Companies. Construction has already begun on a new road and bridge building at the property.

On February 27th multiple walls were tagged with spray paint and a vehicle was set on fire. The word, “ZIP” was written multiple times causing about $3,000.00 worth of damage.
