According to the Delta Police Blotter: A 12 year boy from Delta was ticketed by Delta Police for alleged Illegal Possession / Consumption of Marijuana Under the Age of 21. This occurred April 27th at 11:27 AM.

Colorado Congressman Ed Perlmutter is hoping fellow politicians will help solve the biggest issue facing the legal pot industry. He's co-sponsoring legislation to allow banks to serve marijuana businesses without repercussions from the federal government.

Student Pot Bill Signed

Every school district in Colorado must now allow students to bring medical marijuana to school if they have the proper approvals. Governor Hickenlooper signed House Bill 1373 into law yesterday, assuring students with medical pot prescriptions will be able to take their medication on school grounds. Each parent must provide two recommendations from a doctor and get the approval of the state Department of Public Health.

Man with Western Slope Ties Busted in Nebraska

Authorities in Lancaster County Nebraska say they have confiscated a load of marijuana estimated be worth more than two-million dollars in street value from a man with western Colorado ties. They say a K-9 detected the smell of the drugs packed in U-Haul boxes in a parked pick up last week. They also found four-thousand dollars in cash.

West End Pot Bust

The BLM says ten people have been arrested in connection with the two separate and unrelated Pot fields in Montrose County. BLM rangers discovered the first pot farm on September 15th along the Dolores River between Gateway and Naturita. They found more than 1,200 marijuana plants, many exceeding six-feet-tall, along with 211 kilos of dried marijuana and a rifle. The rangers arrested four Mexican nationals.

Voters to Decide Pot Money Destination

Governor Hickenlooper signed House Bill 1367, giving you the chance to pass a measure that would stop the nearly 58-million dollars in marijuana tax money from being refunded through the Tax Payers Bill of Rights. Initial estimates of the tax revenue from marijuana sales were lower than the actual money collected, meaning most taxpayers could expect a tax credit.

If you’re gonna drive around with drugs in your car you’d better use your turn signal. 18 year old Michael Gorrono of Montrose was pulled over at 6600 Road and Little Way Thursday night. Deputies discovered marijuana, burglary tools and a controlled substance.

Pot Bill Dies

A bill requiring marijuana dispensaries to post warnings about the dangers of pregnant women using pot has been killed in the State House. The bill also would have prohibited doctors from recommending medical marijuana to pregnant women.

Governor Hickenlooper believes legal pot "can work" in Colorado. In an interview with CBS' "60 Minutes," he said he probably would have reversed Amendment 64 if he could have.
