The coroner says that a Colorado State University student died from meningococcal sepsis and not from bacterial meningitis. The university identified the student who died as Christina Adame, a sophomore who worked at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital and lived off campus. A woman wanted by Grand Junction police in connection with a stabbing last week was arrested last night in Montrose. Highway 50 reopened last night around 11:00 after shutting down due to an avalanche. Colorado State Patrol says Highway 50 was closed headed towards Gunnison near milemarker 123, which is about 28 miles east of Montrose. No vehicles were caught in the avalanche.
