MONTROSE – Kathy Ellis will serve another term as Montrose’s mayor. Ellis was voted 3-2 as city mayor during city council’s regular Tuesday meeting. Councilmen, Bill Patterson and Thomas Smits, voted against the motion, which was made by councilwoman Carol McDermott. McDermott was voted 3-2 as mayor Pro-Tem, formally held by Smits.

Montrose ACT (Association of Commerce & Tourism) 2011 Board Chair Polly Hohlenkamp, Leadership Circle LLC & Sports Clips, announced that Scott Beyer, Scott’s Printing, has been elected 2011 Chair-Elect and will follow her as Chair of the Board in 2012.
